That's what happens when you've finished all your work on a 12 hour watch(like right now) that goes from 2000-0800... I did some studying too.

Its good to see how busy people are when they can put a comment on a board because they aren't privy to an old joke.

The Saturday May 24th Mage game is being cancelled. I need a break badly. The second weekend of June I will be running the Changeling one night game. I have accepted the concepts that were told to me at IHOP and will be making characters for the game. I will be in touch with each of you prior to the game that night. I hope to make it a magical and wonderful memory for us all.
I would like to ask that the Players of the mage genre refrain from playing their mages until the game resumes.
Kaine and Blodgett please contact me as I have a couple of requests for you both. Please contact me at the e-mail included with this post.
Thank you.

WHERE you need to be: Mr. Robinson's neighborhood (10 Fox Chase, Okemos, MI 48864)
WHEN you should come: Saturday June 21, 2003 at 1:00PM(What better way to celebrate the officail first day of Summer?)
WHAT you need to bring: Swim Gear, Kickball gear, Grilling Meat, and a dish (or bowl) to pass.

-----This has always been a war for reality, plain and simple. The Traditions lost because they have never been united. The Victors have been writing the history books ever since. The war for Lansing, for Michigan is over. It is obvious the Technocracy have won. I don't know why the Traditions even try.
Except ....
I do.
You fight for freedom of choice and belief. You fight for the Wheel, for the Challenge of the Fight, for Creativity, for children's imagination, and for undiscovered brillance. The fight isn't over in your hearts.
SO IS THE FIGHT OVER?
The Technocracy would tell you it is. The Death toll:
Detroit - 7
Ypsilanti - 10
Ann Arbor - 32
Lansing - 1
Grand Rapids - 3
Muskegeon - 12
Eaton Rapids - 2
Traverse City - 4
other cities in Michigan - 14
The Death Toll Total is 85 Mages, that isn't counting those who were killed in Lansing who were Void Engineers.
Is this a wake up call? Is this your chance to get off the ride? It could be. If you don't like the way the world is headed there is always suicide. Maybe the Mage virus was a blessing. Maybe they didn't want to play in the game.
But...
Then there is hope.
A hope that things will get better, that things will get brighter. Once the candle has gone out all you have to do is re-light it. Are you strong enough to do it? Do you want to do it? It sure seems like no one does. Let me tell you what I see.
I see one mage who wants to be strong all the time and really is weak. Fate was cruel and saved a dying man. With nothing but anger in his heart he has lost touch with the reason to live. Talk about Jhor. I think if we were measuring on role-play alone we would see taint as thick as lead.
Then there is the Chancellor. He is crazy, obsessed, and losing control again and again and again. He is the only hope that people have to bond together, a Trad Mage who has made overtures to the Hollow Ones, the Technocracy, and has been lather, rinse, repeat screwed by them all. Doubting his leadership he is probably going to go the way Ian went. Slink out of town one night and find a hotel and let the madness of having seen what lies beyond scortch his eyes.
Our very own shock rocker who awakened in an (explective here) storm has lost himself. He knows not who he is and where he belongs, he knows only hate. He has lost friends, mentors, and now he seems to be losing his soul. Fight? Why?
Is the computer real enough for you Mr. Adept. He wonders where all the Traditions have gone. Where oh where did they go? Some Alien took them everyone, when will they ever learn, when will they ever learn?
Speaking of Aliens ate my Sons of Ether. It was nice and quiet then one day, it was Hogwarts for the strange and stupid over at the Chantry. When things fell apart so did the Professor and Marianne (The Pete). Lucky for them they don't have anything to worry about except the Nephandi war out in Deep Space, but shhhh, no one tell them, oh never mind, who would they talk to anyway. We are lucky they bothered to help save the Mage Human Race on Friday night.
So, AMY tell me what you really think!
I think that the rest of the host being Xavier who is in Technocracy Prison, and doctor DJ (oops I mean Evert), and blind mouse Arland are pretty sad little lot.
If you tried to work together I bet the city wouldn't be so terrible because the opposing side might have competition, but as long as you keep this pace I think that you stand no chance to Take Back The Night.
You didn't want to do it did you?
Why am I beating you up verbally? Because I hear people piss and moan a lot about the grimness of the world. It is the world of darness and this is a game of Tragic Horror. If you want we can snap our fingers sit in a circle and play cards, but then you wouldn't have this chance to save the world.
I am handing you the keys to the Kingdom, try not to trash it too much, and maybe you can leave to better than you found it.
Love,
Amy

Tragedy struck Saturday morning as Michigan was waking to sound of the robin's song. A cult that had spread out through several cities, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and Detroit, committed mass suicide.
It appears as if they injected themselves with a type of chemical that caused the body to reject it in what doctor's term a "bleed out". Doctors from hospitals in each of the areas were ready to respond. The CDC has issued a statement that this is not an epdiemic. This is not contagious, this is simply a tragic event brought on by disturbed minds.
The cult itself remains unknown at this hour. Experts in the field have identified several possible splinter groups that may be involved in this situation. Evidence found by doctors seems to suggest that the reason for the suicides was something to do with the bank outages that occured last month.
Families of the deceased have asked for prayers and silence. "This is not something I can deal with at the moment, my son was just 20 years old, I didn't know he was in a cult. I am deeply saddened by this loss of life. The youngest suicide was 9 years old. Someone probably injected the child. If I could send a message to anymore of these groups out there, I would tell them that your familes are hurting becasue of this. Support exists for you!", said Kelly O'Tomlin of Grand Rapids. Kelly is the surviving parent of one of the victims in this tragedy.

Kelly and others like her are reaching out. Doctors who were faced with the aftermath of this event have offered to do pro bono work and asking others to come forward to be helped before it is too late. Police from around the state are being challened by the Governor to enact a better and more efficient force after dusk. Michigan streets will soon be a brighter place after hours according to Detroit Police Chief, Avery Brooks. With better safety controls on our streets more people will be getting out and feeling safer leading to less depression about our economic troubles. To take this one step further, the Michigan cities that were sites of the violence, will be hosting free events in the city's parks. The real event to look forward to this year will be 4th of July. Michigan has hired a new fireworks display company to be its premier provider of the national celebration. The company has not been disclosed at this time, however, sources say that the display is a redical change from last year's.
OOC NOTE:
IS THIS A PLOT HOOK? - YES
IS THERE SOMETHING HAPPENING HERE THAT WILL CONTINE TO STEAMROLL ON EVEN IF NO ONE CHASES IT? - YES
THIS IS MY ATTEMPT TO BE SUBTLE - WHEN I SMACK YOU UPSIDE THE HEAD IT IS BECAUSE NOTHING IS GETTING DONE AND CONSEQUENCES ARE - AS RAFE WOULD PUT IT - GRIM.
Please be a good player and turn in downtime.
