It only took 4 years, but Rafe's game has been marketed.

My birthday sucked donkey schlong(working a night shift and slept from 9AM-3PM), but I did receive large quantities of money. I also made myself a good dinner.
Thank you for the birthday wishes though.

MAGE GAME
Saturday, June 28, 2003
7:00 PM
Werewolf players who are interested may take on the role of a Pre-Gen NPC for the game session.
Mage players, gee it's been a while! Sorry, I needed the break and I needed to re-think some things that were going on. I will tell you honestly, that you have 2 mo. of game sessions till the plot completes.
OOC:
The game setting for this week will be a Mage Meeting of the Traditions in Michigan. It is being held in the basement of a church that is being loaned by Sy Polatski, a Catholic Priest, who is to his knowledge the only Mage left in Jackson, MI. after the carnage of the past few weeks. All the Mages from around Michigan are going to discuss the problem and the Prophecies that they have received.
NPCs will have a goal sheet and a short character sketch. They will be actively involved all night in the plot. If you want to play one of these characters you must let me know prior to Friday. If you show up, you will not be given one of these characters, you might be given something dumb.
IC:
(This is the WoD version of SARS)
It is estimated that over two million people have died of a mysterious disease that affects those who contract it on a biomolecular level. The effects are more devestating than ebola.(The world view)
Mages know that they have been hit from the Technocracy. They know that the stasis that is keeping magic locked has forced a war more open than ever was. It is rumored that a few Void Engineers have defected to the Traditions, but it remains a rumor.(World Mage View)
Those who have seen the decimation of their friends know the pain and loss that the Technocracy has dealt to the Traditions. Those who are left in Michigan know that the Void Engineer defectors are a reality. A group has come over and they have the key to taking down the Technocracy team that created the virus. The Mages in Michigan, even confronted with the awesome loss of life, can not bring themselves to trust the defectors. This meeting will decide the fate of the world. (Michigan view of events)
What the VEs have said -
*There is an umbral construct that has been fueled by nodes that have been drained.
*The Technocracy has loaned out major resources for this project.
*If this project is destroyed, it will set the Technocracy back four years.
*If this project is allowed to continue, it will wipe out all non-protected mages in a matter of two months.
*The price of success is that the "Avatar Storm" will grow in strengh and no one will be able to cross the gauntlet again.
*Or ... the construct destruction could rip the low umbra open and void the gauntlet in a localized area.
The Mages must decide what the price they must pay for survival will be.

A big thank you to all who participated this weekend in the Changeling game. I was concerned about it getting started, but once the ball got rolling it went well. I wish I could award each of you something for the fantastic jobs you did with the pre-gen characters.
To Aaron Blodgett, I must give a special heartfelt thanks. As usual, he was an excellent changeling resource for pre-planning the events. His acting abilities make him one of the best role-players that I have ever had the chance to game with. He can take any character and play it!
Robb Keefer and Erika were also a tremendous help. Without the Mahta Hari, I wouldn't have been able to carry off the plot. Robb's sluagh was key to watching the scenes I couldn't be in, and a help with setting the stage for the big opening scene.
All of you, together, make the Fortress LARP worth coming to. I needed a break from Mage and you gave it to me. So, now I am back and will be with a vengance. See my next post for more MAGE info.
Thank you for all the trust you place in me.

Reminder,
The Wyrm is running a Changeling game.
I know, it sounds funny. But, it is true.
I have characters tailored to everyone who made the attempt to e-mail me. I have several generic characters for those who might show up.
If you plan to play a commoner - please bring a "Beer" mug.
See you all tonight.

Looks like the Changeling game was switched to the 21st AFTER the party was planned. There is no reason you can't come to both!!! Skippy, the party WASN'T planned for a LARP time, but sh*t happens....

Just a reminder that the Fortress reunion party is next Saturday at 1:00pm. Here is a map to Mr. Mike's from the Fortress:
http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&2ex=1&src=maps&ct=NA&1y=US&1a=425+albert+ave&1p=&1c=east+lansing&1s=mi&1z=48823&1ah=&2a=44+Fox+Chase+St&2s=MI&2c=Okemos&2ic=31&2ex=1&2g=IXDloxOvbuo%253d&2y=US&2z=48864-3010&2l=vt83krZAlh4%253d&lr=2&x=75&y=12
I noticed that a one-time Changeling game is also scheduled for next Saturday at 7:00pm. Since the party starts at 1:00pm there is no reason why people can not enjoy both events. So come out in the afternoon and swim, eat and kick the crap out of a rubber ball! Then afterwords go out and save the world from the grasp of banality! Hope to see you all there!

All are invited to play Changeling that day. Perhaps we shall see some new faces, might be we see just the old ones - either way it'll be a good time. The garden's wouldn't have worked for this game so the show must go on a week later.
Thanks Skippy! See ya there.
Amy - Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 15:29:18 (EDT)
I, for one, will prefer gaming with those that attend Fortress on the 21st. You'd think that a party for LARPers would be set up for a day where there wasn't a game. Huh.

As far I know Pyle is supposed be having a party on the 21st. Pursuant to this message he posted on May 19th. WHY you need to be there: Summer Fortress LARP Reunion Bash WHERE you need to be: Mr. Robinson's neighborhood (10 Fox Chase, Okemos, MI 48864) WHEN you should come: Saturday June 21, 2003 at 1:00PM(What better way to celebrate the official first day of Summer?) Monday, May 19, 2003
Don Dean - Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 22:52:25 (EDT)
Changeling is moved to Saturday the 21st because Fortress is having CARP. I confirmed with Steve that this is ok. There will be a best roleplay award as well as costume award. I would like you to send me an e-mail with the following information:

First Kith Choice
Second Kith Choice
Phone number/best time to call
PLEASE ONLY SEND THE ABOVE IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDING!!!!!
Character Needs: I need all commoner kith characters to bring a mug for a scene that will take place in a bar. Root Beers will be provided.
