Piss Boy eh? I suppose the title could grow on me. Lets see... "Mr. Pyle... Here's your bucket sir." There would be a short pause here while the Grandmaster answers the call of nature. "Thank you si.... Ooop! Oh my god! I'm terribly sorry sir! I've gotten it all over you! I humbly apologize! Can I get you a towel? ...and perhaps some air freshener?"

In the event anyone cares, Pyle got his name in print in MET: Journal 3 advertising the LARP. More players because of this? I hope so. I was bored... anyway, see everyone in September.

Dave, How would you like to play LARP Piss Boy this fall? No? Then please do not mention my folly again...

ROFL have you noticed what happens every time Pyle makes his characters LARGE? Maybe "/font" in the brackets will end that? I dunno... maybe the Pengie Mistress can help?

I would like to thank those who participated in the Dark Ages LARP. I also would like to thank those of you who critiqued the LARP and its problems; We are always looking to improve! I wish it had not ended in the matter which it did but oh well, it is time to start thinking about the fall! There will be a "meeting" (and some in party fighting) on August 21st but it wont be for character creation as I announced on Saturday. Instead it will be for a "What happened to my character?" discussion and a "Q&A with the Storytellers" were we discuss changes to the larp! We also will have new fliers for a flier drive that night and if that is not enough for you maybe even another midnight bowling sessions! (If you guys want another beet down by the storyteller corps!) I would like to start a little earlier like around 6pm to fit all this in. Please try to make it there if all possible, it will be worth your time! Thank you once again,

Hey, it's me. I'm trapped in a library with a swirling maelstrom outside, but other than that, not much is shakin'. Actually Adam, one thing is pretty outstanding about this Vampire game,...white-wolf will actually be able to get a computer product out!! They tried a Werewolf game for the Sega Saturn, but that never got past the development stage, and does anyone remember that Vampire Sourcebook Compilation CD-Rom that was supposed to come out a couple years ago? I guess they're waiting and making it 3rd edition. What they had WAS pretty cool, I remember one minion of the wyrm that I knew had a beta-copy, and I diddled around with it for a while...the beta-copy, not the minion of the wyrm.
Anyway, I'll see some of you this weekend, if I survive this storm. Nuttin' but Love...

Since I have heard from no one in regards to the Dark Ages L.a.r.p I will continue with the original plans that this Saturday will be the Very last Dark Ages L.a.r.p. All of you who are the least bit curious what happens to everyone must attend the Larp Saturday. The Regular Fall L.A.R.P will begin September 11th. I hope you have enjoyed the change of pace.

Anyone heard about the Vampire PC Game? I heard a bit, but nothing awe inspiring. From what I read you play a Brujah beginning in the Dark Ages and eventually end up in the present. After that I don't know.

Howdy. Long time no see. Hope you're all having a fun time gettin' medieval. I'm probably going to drag my girlfriend up to East Lansing to meet y'all this weekend. Looking forward to seeing whoever is around.

BTW, those of you who went to Origins, it was interesting to hear Pooka's account of the weekend...sorry I missed it.

Take care.

We have completed the creation process for the characters for Friday's 'Tea Party'. All of them are sick, twisted, wrong, and great fun. We have decided that characters will be chosen, by players, on the basis of Nature and Demenor. I will post a list of these tomorrow so that people can express their preferences as soon as possible. Please call me at 3369052 if you have any questions.

There was no Larp this weekend because only 7 people showed up to play. I had planned on having only two more LARP sessions for dark ages but now I am not sure. If only 7 people remain interested I will end the Larp now and just publish on the site what was going to happen. Please let me know what you, the players, would like to do and that is what will happen. Just a quick point of interest, The fall LARP will begin either September 11th or 18th depending on the date Carp has the Fortress booked.

Speaking of obscure laws.... did you know that in Michigan if you bring the head of a rat to your county commissioner you can get a .10¢ bounty. Now where is Raph? Hhhhmmmm.

Kirk    - Monday, July 19, 1999 at 15:09:06 (EDT)

Geez, I miss LARPING like a crack whore misses her teeth. It feels like forever since I last Larped. Anyways...this is me, Ward, and I'm still looking for a freakin' job, and it's monday and it's raining. I just wanted to comment on a few things...
Congrats to the Conleys on once again attaining the ranks of Supreme Generalisimos of the Larp...May their reign be long, fruitful and may it crush all opposition like a true Conley would....VIVAS LOS CONLEYS!!!
Erica...you scored perfect for a Red Talon? Eeek...can't say I'm shocked by that development having seen how you play putt-putt golf.
Has anyone seen anything about this Blair Witch Project? I saw the special on Sci-Fi and the movie looks damn scary, even though it's a hoax, it makes me shiver with an unknown dread. Will it be playing anywhere down there?
I was reading a book about unusual and obscure laws and I found a few that were larp related...kinda'. Did you know...
It is illegal for monkeys to ride buses in Austin, Texas. It is unlawful to mistreat a rat in Denver Colorado...maybe Dick Ferratti should move there. In Topeka, Kansas it is illegal to worry a squirrel...how exactly does one worry a squirrel, much less a rabid squirrel pooka? This one's for Jordan...Every man in Phoenix, Arizona must wear pants when he comes into town. Yes, the people of Phoenix are honest, hard-working, pants fearing people. And for Skippy...In colonial Maryland, the punishment for blaspheming was as follows: 1st Offense-Locked in the pillory for a day, 2nd Offense-Branding with hot irons, 3rd Offense-Death. So Larp Bitch would have been dead after his 3rd "GOD DAMN IT"!!!
Lastly, something white-wolfish...I want to hear people's opinion on what the hell that red star thingy is. Is it Caine? Is it the Eye of the Wyrm? Is it aliens? Wait!! I know how white wolf is going to punish the world of darkness...it's going to end up being The Aberrants! Okay maybe not.
So I guess I'll stop being annoying and leave you all alone. Until next time...my mom (a.ka. Shub-Niggurath) says "Brap-flabrort-sloopy-slapfa-gurgle-snarf"!!...get it? she can't speak...she's interdimensional horror...nevermind.

Pyle, what happened with the LARP last weekend? I stopped by the Fortress around 9:00 and it was closed on a Saturday night. I also checked for you guys at the children's gardens. What's up?

ATTENTION:

As I mentioned before my friend Jeremy Wooten's band will perform this monday, july 19th from 10pm -2am at the Small Planet in East Lansing.....many people are requried because if they are to come back again they need to bring new fans to the bar. Unfortunately, it is a 21 and older show. If as many people would show up as possible (even for just a little while) I would appreciate it and so would Jeremy. Consider it helping out a former and hopefully future LARPER, plus enjoying a kick ass rock show! If anybody has any questions or would need directions please e-mail me at the address below. I thank you in advance for your help.

OK, I've got a question to pose before the many pagans on this board. (Sorry Pyle, I know this isn't LARP related.) There's someone in my SCA group who is studying for her 2nd Masters degree and she came across some info and wanted to verify or dispute the information. Here is the info. Please verify or deny it, citing sources. Private emails preferred to avoid cluttering this board up with this topic.

The article is titled "What Do We Say When We Hear 'Faggot'?" and is written by Lenore Gordon. It's an education article designed to help teachers defuse confrontational situations. The quote in question: "When I hear a child use the word faggot, I explain that a 'faggot,' literally, is a stick used for kindling. I also explain that gay people used to be burned in medieval times simply for being gay, and they had to wear a bundle of sticks on their shirts to indicate that they were about to be burned. At times, gay men were used as the kindling to burn women accused of witchcraft."

You got Red Talons, Erica?! (Note to self: Do not bad mouth nature around Erica). I find that odd. As for Aaron getting Fianna, WELL DONE! While my favorite tribe is the Shadowlords, the Fianna are a very close second. No more useless blather tonight, later.

Since we're rattling off the positions of the Storyteller Corps, I will remain LARP Bitch. I will take care of new character generation, keeping the Box organized, putting together the Newsletter, and running the few spinny NPC's that I have. I came up with Tremere, beating Ventrue by 2 points. But I prefer the Jedi test. I came up with a Darth Vader Personality! Hope that explains things Adam.

Kirk    - Thursday, July 15, 1999 at 11:02:11 (EDT)

I preferred the Jedi personality test. I came up with Darth Vader as my personality type. Hope that explains things Adam. Being in the SCA, I've come across this guy's page before but thanks for sharing it with others.

Kirk    - Thursday, July 15, 1999 at 10:44:12 (EDT)

I came up Lasombra, followed by Tremere. Anyway, there's also a Werewolf Tribe quiz, which I took also. Yes, even I, the foremost hater of Garou took the quiz. I came up as a Homid Glasswalker Ahroun, followed closely by Shadowlord. I don't know the link off hand, and crappy AOL doesn't handle copy and paste well. I'd be happy to E-Mail it to anyone if you're interested in taking that one as well. War(Peace is boring).

I think everyone should try this vampire test Adam was talking about. I would be embraced Giovanni! and I didn't even cheat! Skippy would be Tremere as well as Erica! Aaron tested Malkavian and Mike NosfertRuyle scored a tie between Tremere and Nos... I think this test is a consiperacy by the Tremere to increase their popularity! I mean even Mr. Mike would be embraced Tremere according to this test! Can anyone see him as Tremere? Throw me a bone people...

Erica (er... I mean Fiona Cerridwen)    - Wednesday, July 14, 1999 at 22:31:51 (EDT)

Gee, Kirk, thanks for the kind words. My postings were simply opinions, not fact. I thought those reading would realize that, if not *shrug* oh well. If you want actual information on the Ancients or anything else about Vampire, chances are I could give you that, because Vampire is the only game I actually read about - the 30 + Vampire supplements I have come in handy. Also, if you have time, there is a test to determine what clan would embrace you if we lived in the WoD. Go to my friend, Jesse's page(www.geocities.com/eureka/plaza/4034) and click on the link. Later.

Well, we all know that Erica herself is not actually going to be running Changeling - the new storyteller will be no other than little Fiona Cerridwen - Erica is just there to interpret and change dirty diapers.

Man, THEY are coming back. Awwww man!!! What the hell, does this larp really need them as storytellers? After all, we have Adam to tell us all we need to know about Garou. Right? I'm sure he has some wonderful insights on the Fae as well! Adam knows all, sees all. I'm sure he has all the wisdom of the ancients hidden away somewhere -- I look forward to more of his wisdome and insight of White Wolf.

Okay, I'll turn down my sarcasm knob.

Kirk    - Wednesday, July 14, 1999 at 10:59:02 (EDT)

The theme of the LARP in the fall will be Reunion! Aaron and Erica Conley will be returning to run their genres!! Erica will take over Changeling once again and Aaron will return to Garou! I will continue as Vampire storyteller and Mike Robinson will storytell Wraith. (asuming we have players!) I personnaly cant wait and I think that this is a great opertunity for the Fortress Larp to have what I personnaly consider the top two story tellers in their genres in this area! This combined with the potential merger has the potential to make this fall really big! I hope all of you are as excitied as I am!

- Tuesday, July 13, 1999 at 10:10:27 (EDT)

Adam has a point. We all have Genres we like and dont like and I dont think it is fare to continuely rag on Adam because he doesnt like the Garou. I really dont like wraith that much. I admit it is mostly to do with ignorance of the genre. Then again, it could have to do with the fact that we Giovanni think of wraiths more as pets... he he he

Pyle   <click to email>
- Tuesday, July 13, 1999 at 03:33:55 (EDT)

Speaking of ignorance, Mike: My first character, you never saw(he did nothing to the Garou anyway...). My second PC never had any dealings with the Garou, period. My Hunter tried to help the Garou. I admit, Cyrus is good at antagonizing the Garou, but its only due to the fact they want to eviscerate him, with no just cause. That character is a pascifist. However, if he is attacked he'll defend himself. Up until that wyrm tainted liquid was introduced to Cyrus, relations with the Garou and Cyrus were fine. I realized what my actual problem with the Werewolf genre is but I'm not going to post about it... there's enough animosity aimed at me already. To eveyone who is going to Renfest: Have a good time :-]

Adam   <click to email>
- Tuesday, July 13, 1999 at 01:27:48 (EDT)

Adam, yeah, you may hate the werewolf genre, but that doesn't give you an excuse for being ignorant about them. Besides, every character I have seen you play at the larp has been one that has acted out against the garou. Shouldn't you then, try to learn more about what your characters are trying to get killed by?

Just wanted to remind everyone what's going on with the Annual Ren Fest trip. We will be going to the festival the first weekend it opens on August 14th. We ended up renting a cabin which will sleep only six and we're filled up, but if anyone wants to camp, Aaron and I have a three person tent we would be willing to loan, or else, another group could rent another cabin. Anyone interested in camping should call Yogi Bear Campground at (248)634-8621! For those of you who don't want to camp, but do want to come with us to the Festival, meet us at the gates of the Festival 1/2 hour before opening! Any questions, feel free to e-mail me. When you have two individuals talking you have a conversation, with differences of opinion. When you have three people talking together you have politics. When you have a multitude of people babbling on a string of messages, you have a LARP message board.

Kirk    - Monday, July 12, 1999 at 13:21:29 (EDT)

Everyone,

After a long discussion at Steak and Shake, We (The Storyteller Corps) have decided to end the Dark Ages Larp at the end of July. We do so for the following reasons:

1: W.G.D. will be leaving for Pitsburg around the fist week of August and would no longer be available to storytell.

2: I will be gone the first weekend in August for Gen-Con

3: The second weekend in August is our second annual Ren-Fest L.A.R.P trip, I invite each of you to join us at Ren-Fest!

This leaves only the 3rd week in August available which we had decided would be a little re-cap/make new characters week earlier. I hope you have all enjoyed the Dark Ages, good luck in the final weeks...

1) I only mentioned Vitel because of the political mastermind he is, thats all. 2) I'll go out and just say it... I like the Werewolf Genre as much as I liked having my wisdom teeth pulled. 3) Thanks for the info on the Technocracy.

Adam   <click to email>
- Saturday, July 10, 1999 at 16:42:16 (EDT)

Also, on an unrelated topic... Adam, Combat related characters dont get killed unless they get into the mentality that they're the biggest and baddest in the city. A pack of two or three non-combat related characters can always take you down if you get too lippy. The moral of the story is DONT STEP ON AN ENTIRE GENRE'S TOES! (Unless of course you have an entire Genre to back you up)

Dave   <click to email>
- Saturday, July 10, 1999 at 15:27:40 (EDT)

The only complaint I have about Garou politics is that it seems like you need LOTS of Garou to have it. Then again, you kinda gotta have LOTS of Vampires to have GOOD Vampire politics too so I'll shut up now.

Dave   <click to email>
- Saturday, July 10, 1999 at 15:21:24 (EDT)

OK, there's two different points I want to address in this post. First: there are a number of books dealing solely with the technocracy. Every convention has its own books detailing methods, preferred rotes, attitudes, etc. There is also going to be the Technocracy players guide coming out soon. It was for sale at origins, but last I heard at fortress, it looked like they weren't going to get it until August. Second point: none of you know anything about "true" garou. shame on you especially, Erica. You know as well as I do that the only "true" garou are german nihilists in performance art bands. 'nuff said.

John   <click to email>
- Saturday, July 10, 1999 at 13:24:32 (EDT)

Adam,

Please stop insulting something you dont understand. Your blanant lack of knowledge of Garou is quite obvious, I recommended you stop speaking of them. Anybody with a smidgen of Garou knowledger understands the complexity of their politics for it is based on pack mentality. I will not go any furthur into explaination for I know the majority of the Larpers understand Garou. Please argue this point no more, it is like if I were to argue Physics with Einstien.

P.S. No one went after Vital because no one knew he was Lasombra until recently. Everyone believed him Ventrue until the end. Please do not talk of Washington any more. I am starting a table top Vamp game that will deal with that whole situation and I dont need people giving out secrets like that!

Bah... the only useful Garou knowledge is that they REALLY hate silver. Anyway, are there any Mage books that deal soley with the Technocracy?

Pants    - Friday, July 09, 1999 at 23:21:36 (EDT)

Wow Adam, your knowledge of Garou astounds me! Why don't you just stick to talking about something you know about... How little you know about them. Looks like "Lightning Claws" had to take a little peon job to be closer to his mommy... now that's love.

Erica    - Friday, July 09, 1999 at 15:27:04 (EDT)

D: come back wearing nothing but a pair of pants on your head and while you're skipping around the room singing the tune to love boat invite the toreador to a loving romp of the locomotion...and so..ya..gotta go do..stuff...

There is an excellent article on creating drama in the Camarilla book... if I get some time later I'll post it here but to summarize it the story goes something like this:

A Ventrue goes to great lengths to organize a social gathering to cement an alliance with the Brujah primogen. Right as the party is getting started a dim-witted Toreador ancillae spills a goblet of vitae all over his $1000 suit. Do you

a)Attack the Toreador right then and there for his insolence and clumsiness?

b)Go to the Toreador Elder and have him punished?

Politely forgive the foolish ancillae, change, continue with your alliance plans and later work out a plan to make the Toreador's unlife miserable for the next six months?

Silver Fangs or Shadowlords out-politicing a Lasombra? *loud, histerical laughing*. If this is true, or even possible, I'd like to know why a Lasombra(Vitel) is Prince of DC, and no one has even thought of challenging him, other than a Tremere Pontifex(Dorfman), who has had absolutely no success. Garou politicing is finding who has the most purebreed, and either submitting or having the two challengers fight it out.

Of course one can always go to the other end of the spectrum with the Garou and make them the spiritual rulers of the universe! Because the spirits are all powerful, never failing and omnipotent (or is that impotent)!

By the way everyone, Dave i.e. "Lightning Claws - Hadrian Drake" is back in town and working at Office Max in Okemos.

Oh, Pyle...now that's the attitude I want you have! Wanting nothing less than excellent roleplayers.

Kirk    - Friday, July 09, 1999 at 12:03:21 (EDT)

I think the psychological term for sexual desire at Ward's mom is called, "Sick and Disgusting".

Erica    - Friday, July 09, 1999 at 11:31:35 (EDT)

Sure, the garou have the most potential for being combat monsters, but the most talented players can handle playing them WITHOUT everything turning into a kill fest. (and by talented, I mean being intelligent enough to play a character with a personality instead of relaying on stats)Obviously garou is so misunderstood that all you see is combat. That's not so. Get a Shadow Lord and a Silver Fang in the same room and sure, they could go for each others throats, but most times, they plot more heavily against each other than any vamp could even fathom doing.

Erica    - Friday, July 09, 1999 at 11:30:13 (EDT)

I just looked up Oedipus Complex in the encyclopedia. Us uneducated idjits have to do that every now and again. What do they call it when your repessed sexual desires are directed at Ward's Mom?

1) I never said the coterie of dumb were goons, I said they were lackies. The Malk was the gimp, the Toreador was the thug... kinda. 2) Pyle's right about Vampires not being combat borgs, like say, THE GAROU. Politically, the Toreador are up there after the Lasombra(All hail Marcus Vitel and Moncada), Ventrue, and Tremere. He's also right that the combative characters get killed... like 2 of my first 3 characters*ahem*. 3) If the Year of the Reckoning stuff is in Time of Thin Blood, I missed it too. Later....

As for the matter of White Wolf and the Gehenna plot line, I was told by the White Wolf writers at Origins that the ending is told in Time of Thin Blood. The problem is people like me flip to the back of the book to see how Ravnos bites it! I have been thumbing through it and the only clue I have found is a paragraph that mentions how Lilith Diab's Cain and leaves his children to their own un-lives. Is this the end they are reffering too? I am not sure... Any one who has read the book completely and has a better theory please let me know!

There is one thing people must realize about vampires, They are POLITICAL creatures not combat ones. They are not supposed to be pyscho sword weilding loonies no matter what clan... They have not survived for Thousands of years by butchering everything that moves. For those of you who crave combat monsters and not politcs and role-playing may I recommend you try A.D.D. Stay away from my beloved vampire game!!!

Shame on me Ward... Shame on me...

Erica    - Thursday, July 08, 1999 at 16:01:40 (EDT)

Actually, my super power is that I have a golden lasso that makes you tell the truth. For example:
"Ouch, ow, geez..."
"Tell me the truth"
"Huff...huff...My name is Dave...and I have an Oedipus Complex"
For those of you who don't get that joke, I'm not talking about Skippy or G-Dwag. For those who do get it, shame on you.
So! I want bets placed on what white-wolf is going to throw at us next with this "Year of the Reckoning" business. I think that Methuselahs will strangely begin to exhibit strange behavior in which they will begin to put tropical fruit in their ears and can only feed on 'taters.
Nuttin' but love...

Coterie of goons? Goons? If I remember correctly, my Malkavian had absolutely NO physical ability, and failed *every* challenge when it came to battle. Shut your cake hole, Adam.

Just heard that there will be a new Toreador at the game. the lim-writed, artsy guy who would not hurt a fly. BE NICE OR BE DEAD Following the success of my Ravnos I shall be playing a nice ghoul who likes kittens and helps old ladies across roads, the definition of harmless. TRUST ME.

I like the idea of Ward being artist by day and swordsman by night...maybe that's his secret night job in Caro. Who knows... he needs that to fight for his belief in the Ravnos. I agree that majesty is the MOST misused discpline, especially at con games. It takes a talented role-player to play a Toreador correctly (not that i'm saying they 'really' exist or anything) and not just fall back on his/her discplines to make it through the game.

Erica    - Wednesday, July 07, 1999 at 22:26:12 (EDT)

Me not abuse Majesty? I abuse all my disciplines.

You've never heard of a Toreador wielding a weapon? The Toreador Justicar and one of her "friends" both have melee levels of at least 4. It mentions in several supplements that the Toreador have several clanmates who studied Martial Arts as kine - and this happens to be their art form(Johnny Steele?). Sure, the Toreador aren't the combat borgs the Brujah or Gangrel are, but they can hold their own. As for abusing Majesty, I beleive Carlos has it and has yet to abuse it in anyway. Timothy Pierce had it and didn't need it because of his coterie of dumb lackies. However, abusing Aura Perception is just plain fun.

I'd rather have someone more useful in a fight with me. A Brujah with Potence, or a Gangrel with Protean (Aggrivated Damage). Besides a Toreador with a sword? Who is this character you're talking about, Duncan MacCloud? I don't see a whole lot of artists practicing their martial arts either? Do you think Ward is an artist by day and a superhero by night?

Lilly's actions on the Vampire TV show was atypical and obviously not the norm for Toreador. Otherwise, I think the Brujah would have expected something like that. Toreador are not combat characters. Yes, you can force them into that role but though they can dish out the whoop ass quickly they just can't take it.

Majesty is perhaps one of the most misused disciplines I've ever seen. It's often used as a crutch for those with little if any social skill to protect their or their character's obnoxious behavior. When I've seen people with Majesty that tells me how powerful they are, or if they are a new character exactly how weak (because they've put all their points into Majesty), in otherwords, they have a HUGE target on their heads.

Your example of Auspex is exactly what I was talking about. Toreador are a social clan that relies upon roleplay. Lying to the Prince or acting the the social harpy is what this clan is for. They excel at this type of role and are excellent for the LARP setting. But forcing a clan into something it was not meant for is foolish. That would be like trying to get a Bone Gnawer to act like a Glass Walker.

Again, Toreador have their worth...in the proper setting. I do like this clan for it's merit but it's still fun to mock them for their deficiencies.

Toreador are a wimpy clan, or PERCEIVED as a wimpy clan? It doesn't have as much an effect in Live Action, but Presence can be a very effective power if used properly, especially Majesty. I wouldn't call slicing something up at Rapidity or higher with a Bastard Sword wimpy either. Also, Auspex can be very helpful if you have the Prince's trust. Prince: "Check him for diablerie taint" *checks, comes up negative, but is an enemy of the investigator*. Prince: "Did he do it?" Toreador: "yes". Yup, definitely a useless clan....

As far as the flaming the Toreador... isn't that being redundant. This clan is as flaming as one can get.

Like I've said in a previous post, I do enjoy playing this clan. But Adam, these are the arty-farty members of all the clans. Their social structure is based on social status. How very high-schoolish. And one need not even have an art, they can be mere "posers".

This is yet another clan like Ravnos that requires a lot of role play ability. People who like combat characters won't like Toreador. What are they going to do? Bitch slap their oppenents with their Celerity is about it or possibly run away at super speed.

Toreadors deserve their reputation for being flamed. This is a wimp clan. Now I'm not saying you can't have a cool character, but overall the clan is filled with bitchy shrews that couldn't stand up to the simplest of smack-downs let alone the power of four suns.

GO RAVNOS!! Ooops, they went!

Kirk    - Tuesday, July 06, 1999 at 16:42:39 (EDT)

Y'know, after reading down the page a bit I realized that everybody already knows what I just said about the Ravnos. So much for me being the up to date one. Anyway, I like the board and what's being said.

Well, no one has to worry about the Ravnos anymore since they just got OBLITERATED by their Antediluvian. Check out Time of Thin Blood...it's well worth reading.
