Hey Vampire LARPers -
Something happened this weekend that was not kosher with me and I needed to let you know that the scene never happened.
Some players were at Castle LARP. Well, no ST was involved so you uys were not aware that the Castle game is closed to new players because of a court order that happened in game thanks to Louis Cypher asking Vanessa to put the pressure on the Castle LARP.
Aside from that some very not cool information was played with. One we do not introduce do the following:
Hi, I am Amy Weaver and in the Castle LARP I play Vanessa Rommel, I introduce you to the Prince of the city who looks like Mike Weaver and plays Jim Stevens.
One, the LARPers at Castle no longer have a vampire influence on them so they do not mirror the "real world".
Two, no flyers are posted and the court has closed the game to would-be players so anyone who was there was illegal and can face legal action.
Three, Please do not use real people in your game plots unless you have their permission.
Four, I am almost done here! =) How did your new characters find out about the LARP? Please make sure something is cool to use before you use it.
That scene never happened. I have never desired to retro fit a scene, but this was not acceptable to me. I am not aware of everyone who was invloved. But, if you have questions or you know who this all affects please let them know so they can role-play accordingly.
Thank you.

The bar scene in the E. Lansing area is overcrowded. I suggest you find a special niche and pursue it. I run a bar/club on the far side of town called the Vampire Haven we cater to the fans of Blade, Vampirella, Dracula, etc... It has pretty good for me so far. Requesting information from the chamber of commerce is a good way to start, that's what I did. If you are looking for any other help I'd be happy to network with you.
Good Luck

Tonight Lansing is gearing up for what is easily the biggest event since the sponsorship auction at Potter Park Zoo. In fact, this event will eclipse that one. Both the Republican and the Democratic parties have reserved tables at this auspicious event. Lansing's mayor and his wife will be in attendance as well. This, however, is not a fundraiser with a political agenda.
Each plate has sold at $1,000. Those in attendance will be treated to a succulent menu with a southwestern flair. The soft jazz sounds of the Flow will be entertaining those prominent enough to have gained a seat. All this food, wine and song is being paid for by the DuVall Corporation. The proceeds from the dinner will be donated to help in the effort against wildfires from ravaging the Southwest.
The DuVall Corporation, an affilate of the successful PricewaterhouseCoopers, from Atlanta has brought their money to Michigan where they are pursuing business in revitalizing urban areas. When interviewed about the reasons behind this event, the VP of Marketing, James Howard commented that, "since September 11th Americans have become much more aware of the tradgedys here in our country. Businesses are not any different. Our profits have come from hard working Americans, and a portion of profits need to go back to the country we love. That is why the DuVall Corporation is funding this significant event. We have to be mindful of our environment. We have to protect our home by any means necessary."
It is evident that this event is not the last to come from the DuVall Corporation. Lansing, lay out your best clothes because there is going to be a hot time in the old town tonight.

Friends,
Sadly, the festive event we had planned for this Saturday evening has to be postponed until the following Saturday, July 20. Mr. DuVall has urgent business he must attend to, and as the gala was largely his, it would seem unfair to hold it in his absence. I may be reached for comment via telephone by those kindred who have the necessary status to be worthy of interrupting a very important, possibly city changing, dealing with outside members of the Camarilla I am planning. You know who you are, or should. If you question whether or not you meet this criteria, then you surely do not.
I have also received some disturbing information about a possibility of the dark lupines known as dancers wreaking havoc in the city. I myself have found an area safe from this possibility, and I urge the rest of you to do the same. Also, this makes the Masquerade more important than ever, since they will attempt to hunt down those with obvious power, or so I am lead to believe.
Regards,
Jim

I found a really funny werewolf joke on the white wolf forums. :)
A Silent Strider was walking down a lonely country road as dusk approached. The surrounding countryside had an unnatural feel to it, and he knew he needed a safe place to spend the night. He quickened his pace in hopes of finding one. As he rounded a bend in the road, he saw a huge mansion on a hill overlooking the surrounding area. As he got closer, he saw Silverfang glyphs carved cunningly into the stone gates on either side of the long driveway. Seeing no other likely place, the Strider leapt the gate and padded up the long driveway to the front doors. He knocked sharply on the doors and after a little while, a gorgeous raven-haired woman opened them. "Good evening Ma'am," said the Strider. "I am but a simple traveler, looking for hospitality from the approaching night. Is there any way I could impose upon you for a place to stay?" "I think that can be arranged," she said as her gaze took in his lean, muscular form. Her eyes lingered on the Strider glyph-scar on his upper arm, and she said, "I'm sure my husband will certainly wish to give lodging to a wandering Strider, such as yourself." With that, she turned and called out, "Oh beloved? There is a young garou at the door asking for hospitality..." Shortly, there came the sound of strong claws clacking against marble, followed by the huge crinos form of a massive Silverfang warrior as he strode into the entry hall. His pelt was purest white, scarred from countless battles. An ahroun glyph stood out proudly from his right breast, and over his shoulder was the haft and hilt of a massive grand klaive. "Who comes before the door of my poor shack," boomed the Silverfang? "I am Seeks-in-Silence, Fostern Ragabash of the Silent Striders," answered the Strider, almost confidently. "Well met, Strider," boomed the Silverfang! "My wife and I would be happy to host you, even though we are destitute ourselves." The raven-haired kinfolk reached out her hand, placed it on the Strider's arm, and gently yet firmly drew him into the mansion. "We were just on our way up to bed ourselves," she said in a soft voice. "Come, we shall make a place for you." "Indeed," intoned the Silverfang. "Our hovel is not so grand as it once was, and our bed is not so large or soft, but we will find room for you upon it." "Kind Sir," stammered the Silent Strider, eyeing the myriad empty rooms they passed as they walked through the halls, "any of these rooms will do! There is no need to put yourself out..." "Nonsense, my boy! I wouldn't quarter pigs in any of these stys!" He waved his massive clawed hand toward an open doorway and the huge feather bed within. They came to a large double door, the Strider protesting all the way, and the Silverfang opened it with a flourish. Inside was a huge bed, nearly large enough for 4 crinos ahrouns to lie down side by side and not have their tails touch each other. The Silverfang pulled out his grand klaive, nestled it into the carved wooden hooks on the headboard, then leapt high into the air and landed belly up in the center of the feather mattress. The bed moved hardly at all. The Fang said, "You shall sleep here on my right, my wife shall sleep here on my left." Meanwhile, the Fang's wife had changed clothes in the dressing room and emerged wearing a white silk nightshirt and a smile. She nestled in next to her husband, gave him a goodnight skritch behind the ears, and settled down to sleep. The Strider, still wearing his traveling clothes, slid into bed next to the Fang, as instructed, and tried to go to sleep, teetering on the edge of the soft mattress. After a bit, the Silverfang began to snore. Great, loud, rasping snores that could only come from the depths of a crinos maw and would surely have the power to cause the dead to walk again (if only to find a quieter place to sleep) or perhaps summon Banes. Then, the Strider heard a sound that made his pulse quicken and his skin turn clammy. "Oh Strider? Strider? It has been so long since I have felt the touch of a man. My husband, whom I love, never leaves the war-form now, and I hunger for the touch of skin on mine. Please Strider, come to me..." The Strider sat bolt-upright in bed. "Are you crazy!!!?!?!!??!?!?!" he whispered. "He'll wake up and shred us into tiny bits!!! We'll both die horribly!" The raven-haired kinfolk sat up, too. "No, Strider. My husband is a deep sleeper. He will never awake. Watch..." And with that, she reached over and snatched a few hairs from the great crinos Fang's haunch. The Strider gaped openmouthed in shock, but the Fang just kept on snoring. "See Strider. Nothing save the Apocalypse itself will awaken him from a sleep. Now come to me," she pleaded. The Strider looked at her, looked at the slumbering garou, and tentatively reached over and yanked a few white hairs from the Fang's backside. But the Fang just kept on snoring. So the Strider crept around the foot of the bed as only a Silent Strider Ragabash can, and coupled with the beautiful kinfolk. After about an hour, he crept back to his side of the bed and laid down. But shortly thereafter... "Strider, oh Strider? That was wonderful, but I am not yet sated. It has been so long, please come back to my arms?" "No!" he hissed. "We were lucky last time, but he would surely wake if we were to do that again!" "Not so Strider. See..." And with that, she reached over and snatched a tuft of white fur from the Fang's backside. But the Fang just kept on snoring. The Strider looked at her, looked at the slumbering garou, and tentatively reached over and again yanked a few white hairs from the Fang's backside. But the Fang just kept on snoring. So the Strider crept around the foot of the bed as only a Silent Strider Ragabash can, and again coupled with the beautiful kinfolk. After about two hours, he tiredly padded back to his side of the bed and laid down. But shortly thereafter... "Strider, oh Strider? That was amazing, but I am not yet sated. It has been so long, please come back to me..." "Sweet Gaia, woman" he hissed. "We were beyond Ragabash-lucky that time, but he would surely wake if we try a third time!" "Try for yourself, Strider," she cooed. The Strider looked at her, looked at the loudly snoring garou, reached over and yanked nearly a fist-full of white hairs from the Fang's backside. But the Fang just kept on snoring. So the Strider strode around the foot of the bed as only a Silent Strider Ragabash can, and again coupled with the beautiful kinfolk. After about three hours, he wearily crept back to his side of the bed and laid down, exhausted. And as the sun began to lighten the sky of morning, the Silverfang rolled over, placed his snout next to the ear of the quivering, petrified Strider, and whispered, "Look, I don't mind you mating with my kinfolk, but would you please stop keeping score on my ass?!?"Mike Ruyle: Garou ST - Monday, July 08, 2002 at 15:18:47 (EDT)
For the Garou players:
Just FYI on some things. During the week this week, I'm going to be writing up a detailed description of key sites within the penumbra for the game. Sites that I plan on including are obviously the Caern, the Hive, Lansing(General), East Lansing(General), and MSU. If you would like to see other sites detailed, email me with it. :) I will also be writing up some key NPCs that your have already met, or will in the near future.
Also, we, the ST's, will be discussing some changes/clarifications to the rules. Some of these are Rage, Willpower, Stepping Sideways, Frenzy, Rites, etc. Once these changes are decided upon, I will write them up for you as a quick reference for how we will be running them.If any of you have any questions for me, please feel free to email me. Thanks!
