Chancellor Hab,
Is everything ok? I wasn't aware of any deaths on the lawn. If you need our assistance the Cabal of the Rising Dragon will help you. Thank you for sanctioning our cabal.
Lucita - Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at 12:09:45 (EDT)
Well, it took us long enough to slay the dragon. But in the end it was a job well done.
By the way, how many people have died this week on the Chancelor's front lawn?
PS.
I don't know anything about the VA attacks against the Syndicate, but good job boys!

I thought I read something in regards to a one shot vamp game this week. If I was misinformed so be it. I don't feel I deserve lip for asking though. At any rate see ya at the gardens. Unless I've been misinformed yet again.

If this is a serious question - no.
If this is a "I want to post something to the board" - no.
I didn't want to ignore your question, and I would prefer you to use my e-mail address in the future so we can make this a character role-play area. If you are asking about concepts allowed in my game, Vampire is not one of them. I would be happy to discuss any concept ideas for my genre, but only in an e-mail format.
THANKS TO ALL WHO POST AS THEIR CHARACTERS!!!!

Shut the hell up you whiners. Michigan should be thankful. We helped stop a few daycares from going under and rejuvinated the credit ratings of some mighty fine people. Michigan L337 worked hard to pull down the system while some extrodianire hommies from the cyber hood cleaned up and out the syndicate's accounts and frickin redistributed the wealth Robin Hood style. Check your agression! Check your bank accounts and if you don't like what you see then give it to me!

NEWS FLASH ---
The banks that went down on Good Friday have returned to normal operating status as of 8:00 AM Monday, April 21, 2003, according to the banking institutions throughout Michigan. Several government agencies and some corporate institutions were affected by Friday's outage. Those affected will be audited by the Federal Government to insure that federally protected funds will be replaced. Some statements being made in cyberspace seem to indicate that the affected parties were understating their income and were using their excess funds to fund secret projects. The veracity of these statements is going to be tested by the auditors.
Others report a wide spread joy at finding thier credit ratings improved and some said their account received additonal funds. Banks have been unable to disprove or prove these statements, but it seems that the Hackers targeted certain accounts.
Still, those who were affected by the weekend outage are outraged that such a thing could happen. Some people living hand to mouth could not afford the three day outage. These people are angry that the Banks were not better protected from the Hacker intrusion.

My apologies for this weekend. I thought the message was being passed along. It is no one's fault except my own for not doing some follow up and calling Fortress. Benni was unable to make the game session this week and I had been working 12 hour days, plus doing the gym at 6:00 AM. So getting home at 8:00 every night and Mon, Tue, and wed. this week was so unappealing that I cancelled. I think it is a CARP weekend, but I would be happy to work with other venue options. If you have a suggestion to make, please let me know and I will make myself available no matter what. Death won't bar me from coming we'll just play Wraith =) (just kidding - I'd want to play Vampire).

That's great. If this whole bank deal was the warning. Fuck you, you dumb fucking bastard. You want to know what you accomplished? A whole bunch of people will lose their jobs, or there will be other records. In the end? You did absolutely dick while fucking over a whole bunch of people who weren't at fault. Smooth. Real smooth. How are you going to 'take it to the Man' when the Man is probably the one who supports the whole concept of money? Which means they have at least a reasonable amount of control over it too.

My brothers and sisters,
Look at your hands. They are hands that fight for survival. Your hands they have tried peace - only to fail. It is a sacred dream that we have to be unified. To look beyond our diferences and embrace our similarities.
Sister LostChilde,
Your name reveals you. You and your breathern are lost, but not alone. All men are lost searching for that that gives them meaning. I can not tell you what those of your mind believe, but I can tell you what I have seen.
I have seen a man standing alone on a mountain, his hands are bloody from climbing the steep rock. He looks down and sees darkness like a living wave washing toward him and corrupting all that he can sees. But, from the base of the mountain a man golden, like the sun, carrying a bone flute and an ankh steps forwards. He plays a song that is many men screaming their hate and anger. He thrusts out his arms at the darkness and it haults. The man looks back toward the mountain and says - "I am the man I have become because of you".
In this vision is the key. We are the man who climbs the mountain, we are the foundation, the base of what is to come. To hault the darkness we must make the sacrifice, we must hear the songs of sorrow and anger and pain. We must use our lives to turn back the tide of corruption and darkness.
We are like the drunk who hits bottom. We may have appeared to have lost a war, but we have gained knowledge. We have lost ourselves to addiction and pain, but we have gained insight. In reality, we have only lost a battle. The war still continues.
I have spoken to our Adept brothers and sisters and they say that a battle is coming. That The Man will be judged and will be punished. Tell your family and your friends that the Christian Holiday of Good Friday is a day of reckoning. The Man will be called on to provide and he shall fail. Buy food stuffs, invest in gold, and ask your Adept brothers for help. You will need it.
Traditions are broken, Break not the bonds of trust.

Hollow Ones: There is one of you among our Chantry. His name is Nick Wolf. Despite the ramblings of many of our members, nobody from our Chantry is going to come knocking on your door like a Jehovah's Witness, trying to convert you. The invitation to relax and have a beer is still open, and I hope it's mutual.
Clayton: Damn, man. Lay off the caffeine. Almost every Tradition thinks they're the oldest. No reason to go waving the Verbena's dick around, yelling "ours is bigger!" at the top of your lungs. That goes for the Order, too.
Pete: Not so sure about the usefulness of that Pringle. However, I'd be happy to help get shit on the other side for you, if it's for those Umbral jetpacks you were talking about.
To all concerned: Just something to remember... no matter how we see magic, how we see the bending of reality that we do, it works for all of us. If anyone is under the impression that their way is the best way, or that others are blind to the truth, you're standing in the way of our very survival. Grow up and move on.

I meant that for any Tradition mage who thinks they are better than us! BTW - the way I hear it you lost the war.
LostChilde - Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 09:31:30 (EDT)
This is all the reason I am a Hollower! You think I don't know what Traditions are? I know - they are all this crap. I wanted to know what was going on with the "make an early withdrawl" thing. We have been hearing some crazy stuff out here and then someone from the big bad traditions shows up and wants us to join them in thier fucking unity crusade. I wanted to hear from any Hollow Ones who have joined up - a testimony to the honesty of the situation - but apparently we can't handle that.
V - thanks for the offer, but you being a Deacon of the Death Squad gives me the creeps.
I don't think that the Hollow1s out here will be joining anytime soon. If you want to join us - take your head out of your ass and come on over.
LostChilde - Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 09:28:38 (EDT)
Oh, and by the way. Let's not start talking about who's mystickal stick is longest. It is counterproductive to everything that needs to be a priority right now. With everything and anything being on our doorstep looking to whack us, the last thing we need is having to worry about these things from inside our door. Oh, and to be hypocritical for a moment, the Sons of Ether -are- useless. At least ours are. Voss

Okay, that's it. I'm tired of everybody constantly calling the Sons of Ether useless. Just to give you insight into one of our current projects, we're working on a monotonic frequency disodium inosinate booster, which will increase the flavor of a Pringle by a devastating 12 percent! So, for the next person to call the Sons of Ether useless: No tasty Pringle for you.

LostChilde,
You have some valid concerns with not understanding what is going on. There are some of us even - now Deacons, who would like to understand what our breatern in the Virtual Adepts are plotting. I don't like the cryptic nonsense.
I would like to make it a point to let you know though that we are all dedicated to our cause. Fear not asking the questions, fear only the answers you will get from simple minds.
The Order is the oldest Tradition. Our Order may not be the first of the mages to emerge from the Primordial ooze, but it is the first to organize. You, yourselves, have organized in your own way, we share this common bond.

I don't give a crap about your woes or if you like Slyvia Plath and wear black everywhere except to a funeral. The point is, if you are a whiner - you and your friends die. You don't need to know nothing about the Traditions. They could care a less about you.

//KOTL\\ - Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 16:14:21 (EDT)
Right, unlike God boy (or girl, its hard to tell when they’re both fucking altar boys in the confessional both) I’m not here to tell you “the true path of the One” bullshit. The fact is, though, a lot Hollowers seem whiney. I have no problem with their style as much as “I, the dark sufferer of one, cry” or other Poe wannabe drivel. But I’m here to make sure the Choirsters don’t turn you into a Bible thumping crusader who would like nothing better than to see the rest of the Heretics burn like they did some centuries ago. Here’s what I’ve observed or been told about the rest of the Traditions out there. The Akashics are weird, Zen masters to the core and they can most likely kick your ass to boot. I’ve never really met one, so I can’t say much more than that, although they should focus on the here and now rather than meditate their years away on some mountaintop. But definitely not the worst. Then there is the Celestial Chorus. I already talk about them above, so no need to repeat myself. Then there is the Cult of Ecstasy. These people have the ability to be good wise mages, but a lot (Like that bitch Xaivier) act like stupid children and do stupid things. Next are the Dreamspeakers. You got a question about the Umbra or spirits or anything like that, go to these people. Unlike most mages, Dreamspeakers RESPECT the spirits, not control them. Therefore, spirits tend to like them a lot more than most. Ah, then come the Euthanatos. Most mages see them as trench coat clad men who kill at a whim. Not so. They see it as their job to cleanse the wheel by taking the trash of humanity out of the picture, so when they are reborn, hopefully they won’t fuck up as bad as they did last time. Placing duty over personal wants, gotta give respect to that. Now we move to the Order of Hermes. Think of that nerd in class who though he knew everything and that his way was the right way and goddamn everyone else who disagrees. Well, picture that with the ability to through a lightening bolt at someone, and you’ve got the Order. The have more sticks up their ass than needs counting. No onto the Sons of Ether. These mages have been called useless, and from what I’ve seen in Lansing, there is no proof to discard that idea. While thinking about the next crazy unrealistic project might seem prosaically fun, its equals up to shit when enemies are at your front door. The next Tradition is my own, the Verbena. Now we’ve got good things going for us, like being the oldest tradition out there in the world, with potent and ancient rituals and practices. Unfortunately, antiquity is in style now a days, and people have dumbed down our practices, making dumbed down mages. Life ain’t comfortably swinging a crystal to find out some petty bullshit! Last, and sometimes least, are the Virtual Adepts. Computer nerds who want to make reality into binary code in a huge computer. Yeah, right, go and play Quake and while the rest of us do something useful. So that’s what I know about the Traditions. These are my own opinions, and by no means should you stop here and say, “Okay, I’m gonna be blah.” Go talk to others about what you are looking for. As noted above, these are my opinions and no one else’s within our Chantry, so don’t blame the whole if you don’t like what I say. Now I’m gonna go back to sleep so I can be back at the Chantry soon.

Lostchilde,
The World has lost its way. The Songs being sung are not the chorus of a million voices anymore. Together we must try to set the world back on track or regardless of our hopes it will be our nightmares that come true.
Already, we have let the songs of the ages past slip away. Like many Marilyn Manson's we only hear our own voice calling into the spiritual rift. The Man has usurped our place in reality because of his unified voice and digital lies to the masses.
You reach out for another Hollower's voice, waiting for whispers in the darkness to give you succor, but only in the light will you be saved. There are those of us who can help.

Thank you, Lansing!
We were hit hard by The Man on Saturday. We had been resting too comfortable. They haven't given up the fight. We lost half of our data. basically, they were after the info we had on them. They had pinpointed several nodes in the past couple of months and were going to suck 'em dry. We hacked them and changed the coodinates. They must have had something in their systems that we didn't catch and it traced back to us.
A special thank you to Phillip, the Chancellor of Lansing, for saving my brother Sam (SuperGumball) who would have gotten captured. We appreciate the offer to stay in Lansing, but you have too much crap going down already. We are taking our show on the road.
Trash Man hooked us up with an old swat van and we have enough equipment left to stock it and then become mobile. That way can't use correspondence to effectively pinpoint our location. Anyway, we'll be around if you guys need us. Phil's got my number, we've got your back!
BTW - Hack -n- Slash is on the level. We've been through some rough times together.
